When I'm not working I enjoy... Painting, teaching, going to the beach, cooking and exploring. Spending time with my family and friends.
I love San Diego because: I feel happy and inspired compared to many other cities I’ve lived in —I feel I’m a part of a community that is very creative and motivated.
What ballet or role would you like to dance (and why), but haven't yet? I would love to dance Juliet from Romeo and Juliet. The music has always been so moving to me. I also would love a solo choreographed on me, showing all of my strengths and a way for me to express to the audience my energy and passion.
If I weren't a dancer, I'd be: an Actress.
What is your favorite costume? Why? My Clara costume from The Nutcracker back in Ohio. It was my my very first tutu, I have it at home. It is very special to me.
What can always make you laugh? It doesn’t take much to make me laugh, but definitely my family.
What's your perfect day? Spending a day with my family, going to the beach, and eating something yummy.
What has been your most memorable moment as a dancer? Becoming part of a ballet company. It’s been my goal and dream since the age of three.
What is the hardest part about being a dancer? Honestly, everything is hard. Dance isn’t easy. I have to work at it every day. But I am blessed to have this job and passion drives me to keep going.
Fun to know: Miranda is quite the singer, adores cats, and her family is most important to her.
