When I'm not working I enjoy... Baking and cooking, organizing, swimming, traveling.

I love San Diego because... There is something for everyone in San Diego. There's upbeat Downtown, laid back Ocean Beach, hipster North Park, and it keeps going. I personally love the beach areas. The weather ain't bad either.

What ballet or role would you like to dance (and why), but haven't yet?: Juliet in Romeo & Juliet because I am a complete hopeless romantic. I can also relate to her coy demeanor.

If I weren't a dancer, I'd be: A scuba diving instructor, patisserie baker, or marine biologist.

What is your favorite costume? Why? I love anything with a lot of character, so I really enjoyed the costumes for Septime Webre's The Great Gatsby. Very time period and colorful.

What can always make you laugh? I'm a big fan of comedy improv shows, if they're good! My chinchillas also make me laugh with their uncoordinated falls and collisions.

What's your perfect day? Eating good food, exercising in some way (ballet class perhaps), spending time in or near the ocean, and spending time with my boyfriend are enough to satisfy me!

What has been your most memorable moment as a dancer? There are so many to choose from! The ones that seem to stand out the most in my mind comes from my experiences with the Long Beach Ballet China Ambassadors summer intensive. Performing for the people of China and collaborating with Chinese schools was so special and unlike anything most people get to experience.

What is the hardest part about being a dancer? Accepting the fact that you will never be perfect or exactly what people want you to be, but at the same time that striving for perfection is what keeps us going.

Fun to know: Megan is certified in Advanced Open Water Scuba Diving and has plans for earning her Master Scuba Certification.
