FEATURED CBC ROLES: Jared Nelson’s Bolero, Spanish — Maxine Mahon’s The Nutcracker.

When I'm not working I enjoy... Kickboxing every morning, 6 days a week; food; going on adventures with my partner (Pete) and dog (Ziggy Marley); spending time at a cozy coffee shop with a peppermint mocha; photography & videography.

I love San Diego because... Of its hidden trails, neighborhoods, beaches... always something to explore.

What ballet or role would you like to dance (and why), but haven't yet? George Balanchine’s Square Dance. It has always been a favorite of mine to watch and looks like it would be so much fun to dance —the music, choreography, and the energy of it all!

If I weren't a dancer, I'd be: A competition physique model.

What can always make you laugh? Kristin Wiig.

Describe your perfect day: Waking up in the mountains in my sister’s cabin, going into town nearby to have breakfast, finding an awesome trail to hike, making dinner with the family, and ending the night playing Cards Against Humanity.

What has been your most memorable moment as a dancer? Too many wonderful little ones, but dancing as Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake was a very good one.

What is the hardest part about being a dancer? Trying to find the balance in your artistry and physical capabilities.

Fun to know: Stephen is known for making a mean caramel macchiato.
