When I'm not working I enjoy... Singing and songwriting, finding new music, visiting with friends, being outdoors, cooking, spending time with my cats.
I love San Diego because... It has absolutely everything I could possibly need.
What ballet or role would you like to dance (and why), but haven't yet? Either Romeo & Juliet, simply because I haven't had the opportunity, or a Balanchine ballet like Serenade or Stars and Stripes because again, haven’t had the opportunity yet.
If I weren't a dancer, I'd be: Probably a writer, interior designer, or photographer.
What is your favorite costume and why? The Swan Lake tutus because I love wearing a good romantic white tutu!
What can always make you laugh? It is easy for me to find humor in mostly everything.
Describe your perfect day: Wake up, cook a hearty breakfast, exercise/go outside, partake in something creative such as writing, singing/making music, or painting, laying out in the sun, seeing some friends, watching the sunset, and sharing a meal.
What has been your most memorable moment as a dancer? The excitement I felt as a student when my director moved me up a level early and told me he was putting me en pointe!
What is the hardest part about being a dancer? The rigorous routine of the day-to-day, and sometimes working through injury.
Fun to know: Emma is a talented singer.
